Renewal Planning Toolkit

What’s changed since your last renewal?

Answer seven yes/no questions about your business and see how many areas have changed since the last renewal. Then print the list if it’s useful. No email and no sign-up.

Your answers stay on this page. They’re used only in your browser to show your result. They aren’t sent to Groundline or saved to a database, and they aren’t kept after you refresh or close the page. Groundline’s analytics records only that the check was started, completed, printed, or reset, and whether the Start a Second Look link was clicked. It never records your industry, your answers, the count, or your renewal timing.

The check didn’t load. Refresh the page to try again. All the questions are listed below.

This check counts changes you report about your business. It is general information, not insurance advice, and not an evaluation of your coverage, pricing, or risk. Your answers stay in your browser and aren’t kept after you refresh or close the page. Analytics never records your industry, answers, count, or renewal timing. Groundline does not give insurance advice, review coverage, quote, place, or bind insurance. Groundline does not collect or review insurance documents.

Want to request a Second Look before this renewal?

Groundline organizes what you tell us about the business, what has changed, and your renewal timing into The Groundline Brief. If a request moves forward, it may be passed to a licensed insurance professional, who will identify themselves and their firm. Groundline does not give insurance advice, review coverage, quote, place, or bind insurance. There is no cost to submit a request through Groundline.

Your answers here are not passed to the request form. The form asks its own questions.

About this check

Businesses change between renewals. Crews grow, vehicles come and go, properties change hands, tenants turn over, and contracts change. Renewal applications may ask what is different since last time, and the answers are easier to give when they are already written down in one place.

This check gives you a quick, private way to do that. Pick the industry that fits, answer seven yes/no questions, and see how many areas you marked as changed. You can then print the list.

What the construction questions cover

The questions for construction businesses cover payroll and the kind of work crews do, vehicles and major equipment, how subcontractors are used, new trades, divisions, or acquisitions, new states or metro areas, new project types or contracts that include insurance terms (such as projects with a wrap-up), and any claims or incidents. See the construction renewal checklist.

What the property-owner questions cover

The questions for property owners cover property values, purchases and sales, tenants, vacancy, and how a property is used, renovations, expansions, or new construction, refinancing or lender changes, new cities or regions, and any claims, injuries, property damage, or other incidents at a property.

What the other-business questions cover

The questions for other businesses cover size, headcount, locations, products and services, vehicles and equipment, new contracts or leases that include insurance terms, and claims or incidents. These are the broadest questions of the three sets, so they are the least specific.

Why the result is a count, not a rating

The count is a tally of the changes you reported. Every question counts the same, and the check covers only the areas it asks about. It doesn’t measure risk or evaluate insurance.

What stays private

Your industry choice, your answers, the count, and your renewal-timing choice stay in your browser, and they aren’t kept after you refresh or close the page. Nothing you pick is put in the page address. Groundline’s analytics records only that the check was started, completed, printed, or reset on this page, and whether the Start a Second Look link was clicked.

Using the list

You can print the summary as a checklist of the areas you marked, for your own records. If timing is on your mind, the Renewal Timeline Calculator shows typical planning milestones for a renewal date you enter.

Where Groundline fits

Groundline is an intake and coordination service for commercial insurance requests. If you choose to submit a request, Groundline organizes what you share into The Groundline Brief and notes your renewal timing. Groundline does not collect or review insurance documents. If a request moves forward, it may be passed to a licensed insurance professional, who will identify themselves and their firm. Groundline does not give insurance advice, review coverage, quote, place, or bind insurance.
